About
I'm travelling the world to learn about the business of fashion. I quickly gained a great interest in working conditions and environmental causes when I realised how much people consume outside my little bubble in Greenland. So I'm studying Fashion Management at London College of Fashion, except right now I'm with Pearl Academy of Fashion in New Delhi indulging in exciting new knowledge from the Indian fashion industry.

Oxfam recycling…

It’s incredible what can be done with random old CDs and that worn-out sweater that just can’t be sold. So let’s all donate to the charities that we know and trust from now on. It’s once again made clear that Oxfam is probably Britain’s best charity. Because of their size they deal with massive amounts of stuff every day, and they have been able to create these systems that really DO minimise how much is sent to landfill.

So don’t throw out your holey shirts, Oxfam will know better, and give a donation to cover their costs if you really think the materials are of no value.

Jo Carroll reports from her visit at the sorting centre:

Like most of us, I’ve been giving my unwanted clothes and books to charity shops for years. While I’ve always dreamed that my cast offs have been bought, worn and loved by someone new, the reality is that not everything donated gets sold…
